President/Owner
Business Consultant & Accountant
Linda Sutton-Nutsch brings together a team of Consultants with an extensive list of experience and talent to LRS. Linda grew up in an entrepreneur family where her parents ran a family farm, aerial spraying business, and used car dealership in the same town where she currently lives, Chester, Nebraska.
She earned a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Computer Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. Shortly after, she obtained her Private Pilot License and completed her MBA at the University of Denver in Colorado. She worked as a Financial Analyst and Programmer for Johns Manville Company in Denver. She continued her career as an International Financial Analyst for Riverwood International, now Graphic Packaging International, (sister company of Johns Manville) and led the successful acquisition of 33 entities in Europe and Asia/Pacific traveling extensively abroad to oversee operations.
After her career as an analyst, she served as the Controller for a television station operating in Texas and Oklahoma. She started her own consulting firm, LRS Consulting, to provide consulting and tax preparation to small businesses while serving as a controller for small businesses in the area.
After being approached to teach night classes for the International Business College in Texas, Linda received her teaching certification.
For over 12 years, Linda worked with small businesses in north central Kansas as a consultant with the Kansas Small Business Development Center through the State of Kansas. The SBDC provides quality, confidential, management counseling at no cost as well as affordable training seminars to both start-up and existing small businesses. While at the KSBDC, Linda earned her CVA.
After running LRS Consulting as a side business since 1994,
Linda incorporated LRS Consulting in March 2015 and
in January of 2016 officially opened LRS Consulting, Inc.
She currently lives in Chester, Nebraska, with her husband Eric.
They have five children and seven grandchildren. Linda enjoys spending time with all the youngsters in her life and her dog Dozer,
but flying is still one of Linda’s great life enjoyments.
Accountant
Courtney Farnstrom grew up on a farm near Byron, Nebraska.
She is a Creighton University graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration, an emphasis in accounting and finance. After graduation, she took
a job with a public accounting firm in Omaha where she mostly worked with various audit clients. During her time there she passed the exams to become a Certified Public Accountant.
After marrying her high school sweetheart, Courtney moved to Kearney where she worked for another public accounting firm doing government and non-profit audits, all types of business and individual tax returns, financial statements, payroll, sales tax, and other general bookkeeping activities.
There she completed her experience requirement to obtain her CPA license. Most recently she worked at KAAPA Ethanol in Minden, Nebraska as the Accountant and HR Director.
Courtney, her husband Austin, and three children, Cooper, Delaney and Elliot, moved back to Byron to be closer to both their families. At that time she joined Linda at LRS Consulting so they could fill a need in the surrounding area. Courtney is currently a licensed CPA and is working with with clients on bookkeeping, payroll, and sales or income tax needs.
Administrative Assistant for Linda R Sutton-Nutsch, MBA, CVA
Beckie Thomas grew up in Chester, Nebraska. She graduated from Chester-Hubbell High School, attended college, and then started her career in bookkeeping and finance with State Farm Insurance in Lincoln, NE. After getting married, Beckie moved to Hebron, NE and began working at the Thayer County Bank for 29 years and then for Blue Valley Foods for 4 years. After Beckie’s son graduated from high school, she moved to McCook, NE to be near her daughter and grandchildren. While living in McCook, Beckie worked at Parker Hannifin, was a front desk clerk at Days Inn, and then settled back into the banking industry at MNB Bank for 12 years before retiring.
Beckie then returned back to the Thayer County area and decided to start a part-time job to fill her time. Now Beckie has come full circle by moving back to her hometown of Chester, NE and joining the team at LRS Consulting Inc. Linda has known Beckie her whole life as she grew up across the street from Beckie’s family and Beckie babysat Linda when she was young. Linda knew Beckie was a perfect fit as she brings more than 40 years of banking experience with her.
Beckie has 2 children, 8 grandchildren, and will be a great grandma. She also has a special little friend, Little Sky Kitty, who keeps her company at home when she is not attending activities of her grandchildren.
Bookkeeper
Donna Barrett graduated from Jamestown High School
in Jamestown, Kansas and NCK Vo-Tech School in Beloit, Kansas.
She was employed by Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas for 23 years and retired from CloudCorp in January 2016 after 15 years.
While at CloudCorp, Donna was the Administrative Assistant
for Linda Sutton-Nutsch and the north central Kansas Small Business Development Center (Kansas SBDC) for over six years. After retirement, Donna joined LRS Consulting to continue assisting Linda.
She is married to husband Roger and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Donna enjoys reading in her spare time and
spending time with her grand and great children.
Administrative Assistant & Bookkeeper for Courtney Farnstrom, CPA
Abby was raised on a farm near Falls City, NE. Following her high school graduation, she set off to Southeast Community College with an undecided path. She was very intrigued by her first accounting class and decided to further her studies in business obtaining an Associate Degree in 2020.
During her time in college, Abby met her husband, Logan, and later
followed him to the Byron area, where the couple now reside. Abby says she has grown very fond of this area and began working for Courtney Farnstrom, CPA. The small-town atmosphere is something that she finds joyful.
Abby loves meeting new people and taking the stress away by assisting them with bookkeeping and payroll, which are a couple favorite parts of her position.
Tax Consultant
Natalie Marsh was raised in Hebron, Nebraska and graduated from Thayer Central High School. She has spent her whole life in an entrepreneurial family with her father farming and her mother running her own business. Natalie learned early in life from them that bookkeeping was essential for any small business to be successful.
Natalie went on to college and graduated with her Associates of Applied Science in Nursing degree at Cloud County Community College. She is very detail-oriented and has always had a passion for accounting and working with people. Natalie has excellent communication skills and enjoys assisting clients wherever possible. Natalie spends her time at LRS Consulting assisting clients during tax season using our secure online portal .
Natalie, her husband, Rob, and their four daughters, Addison, Leah, Brynn, and Kora, reside in Hebron and enjoy attending the many activities that their girls are involved in. When not working or attending the girls’ activities, you will find Natalie volunteering her time at various community events and organizations or baking which is her main hobby.
Marketing & Tax Consultant
Cindi Gill is a consultant with more than 35 years’ experience as a
business owner with experience in industries ranging from retail, service, health/spa, accounting, and restaurant/bar to education. She has been involved in tax preparation and bookkeeping for more than 35 years.
Serving as a Main Street Program President for 8 years,
Cindi learned how to work with small businesses from an economic development perspective. Cindi spent time delivering marketing seminars as well as providing business consulting with an emphasis on marketing.
Gill has prior experience with media via radio sales.
Cindi joined the LRS Consulting team to round it out as she has
worked with Linda on various project for over 30 years.
Cindi enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren in her spare time.
Marketing Consultant
Robin Jacobs has over 20 years’ experience in the building products
industry and has consulted with companies like U.S. Borax, Johns Manville, Illinois Tool Works (ITW) and Georgia-Pacific. Ms. Jacobs has developed numerous successful strategic business plans and excels in creating the structures and teams necessary to guide companies through profitable implementation and execution. She has managed multi-million dollar
budgets and has led the marketing, business development and customer service efforts at US Plastic Lumber, FoundationWorks and Aluminair Corporation, developing and implementing successful programs for the retail, distributor and manufacturing sectors. Robin is currently the owner operator of Florida Marketech Inc.
Ms. Jacobs has served as Secretary of the National Association of Women
in Construction in the Florida area and has chaired and been a featured speaker at industry conferences including Natural Fiber and Wood Composites Conferences and Category Management for Hardlines Conferences. She has also served on the board of a 501(c)3, Honduras Hope, supporting mission work in the rural and remote areas of Honduras and regularly leads mission teams to Central America. She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate with a BS in Math, Computer Science, Marketing and Business from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Robin began working with Linda at Johns Manville over 30 years ago and then joined the LRS Consulting team to assist on the marketing side.
